In 2002, Guy Allard joined the multidisciplinary Pyrotech BEI team as a forensic engineer specializing in the causes of fires and mechanical failures. In 1993, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval in Quebec.
Guy is the director at the office in Lévis, overseeing and training other engineers. He investigates insurance claims sites and prepares expert reports.
Previously, Guy worked in the manufacturing industry, mainly in the field of sand casting and ozone sterilizers. He would oversee the continual improvement of operations and quality control systems (ISO 9000, CSA, FDA).
The Court recognizes Guy as an expert witness and he has over 21 years of experience as an engineer. He has also taken many supplementary training courses. He has conducted over 725 investigations.
In his spare time, Guy likes to travel and practice competitive sports (hockey, sailing, skiing, and cycling). He also loves music.
