In 2018, Guillaume Boily joined the multidisciplinary Pyrotech BEI team as an expert consultant in mechanical failure and in search of causes of fire. Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in agri-environmental engineering (rural engineering) from the University Laval in 2013 and a master's degree in science from the University of Saskatchewan in biological engineering in collaboration with CNH Industrial obtained in 2016.
As part of the Pyrotech BEI team, he carries out technical investigations to establish the cause of fires and failures in the mechanical field, including road transport vehicles, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment and building mechanics.
Guillaume previously worked in the field of industrial research and development, specifically in the field of agricultural mechanical equipment design. In particular, he has developed prototypes and their experimental processes, which have been tested throughout North America,Australia and Europe.
In his spare time, Guillaume enjoys restoring cars, repairing mechanical equipment and renovating houses. He also likes to play golf, hockey and a multitude of sports, while enjoying the simplicity of going fishing or downhill in the winter.
